About The Artist
Hello, my name is Eve Pascale. I have been painting for around 20 years. Though I have always known I would fall into a creative profession, I did not realize it would be painting until I found bonsai. About two years ago, I thoughtlessly slung a watercolor pallet and sketchbook into my bag when attending a bonsai meet-and-swap with my partner, Scot. Little did I know that day would be the start of my life’s next great adventure! I painted a couple portraits that day (The Swoop and Potato Sack) and was delighted to see how much joy it brought to the other attendees. Many people watched over my shoulders and smiled. I immediately fell in love with the feeling of immortalizing a prized bonsai and making its owner so happy. That beautiful day coincided, unfortunately, with the day I received a life-altering injury at work. Throughout the very difficult, two-year struggle of recovering from my back injury, painting bonsai was my guiding star. I would paint watercolor portraits with my heating pad on my back on the couch and a lap desk when I could hardly walk. It was a huge, joy-filled step when I was able to start making large oil paintings. Since starting to use oil paints, I have fallen in love with them. I am so delighted to have found this path in life and I hope you all will come with me on this exciting journey!
